I’m a bit torn between two opportunities. We’ll three actually. Anyway I have two jobs right now. A full time and a part time. The full time pays more but there is no room for growth with the company whereas the part time pays much less right now, even if I were to go full time right now, but there is an immense amount of room for growth. In fact they encourage it. I don’t know what to do. Do I stick it out as is? Do I stay with the good paying but no room for growth or do I stick it out with the part time by going full time knowing that it will pay off better in the end? The problem I’m having with deciding is do I want to reap the rewards now or later? Can I afford a DRASTIC drop in finances now in order to make much more later? Decisions decisions.
I love working at my part time job way more than the stresses from full time job. Insurance and such is not an issue since I’m a veteran and I have tricare so that won’t help my decision. I am just at a point in my life where I need and want too be challenged and grow and my present full time is not nor will they ever provide that. There is absolutely no way up. I have reached the highest of heights at this job aside from taking my boss’ job and that is not an option anytime soon.
Should I follow my heart and do what I feel is best in the long run by leaving the full time and accepting a full time position with the part time company or should I follow my head and stick with the money as long as I can?
